It's working!
Somehow this magic loop thing really works! And somehow, I'm not screwing it up! Hubby's sock is starting to take shape and I'm loving it... Can you see the detail of the pattern? Hard to believe it's all knits and purls. Also, I love the yarn I chose for this sock. It's String Theory's Caper Sock. Very soft!
